Our TMC Story
TMC Property Management was born out of necessity. As the co-founders started to accumulate more rental properties and their clients began to buy more rental properties it became obvious that there was a need for reliable management solutions that could provide a full suite of investment property services.
Being a college town, Columbia, MO has always had a strong rental market but the demand for rentals goes far beyond just students. Although we have been managing some of our own properties for well over a decade, it wasn’t until 2020 that we decided to start the business and begin managing property for other clients.
Over the last few years we have built solid relationships with our clients. We are small enough to make sure all of our owners & tenants get the attention they deserve but big enough to have the resources needed to get things done quickly and efficiently.

JOHN LOHMANN
Owner / Director of Operations
John was born and raised in St. Louis but moved to Columbia, MO in 2003 to attend the University of Missouri where he graduated with a Bachelors degree in Business Management. He has always been interested in owning & managing rental property. After selling his lawn/landscaping business in 2016 he bought his first two rental properties and got his real estate license a few months later. John continues to grow his own real estate portfolio while also serving the needs of his investor clients. Property management has become a real passion of his and he is focused on growing TMC Property Management to be one of the best and biggest companies in town.

MAKENZIE KILLDAY
Office Manager / Vice President of Operations
Makenzie is a very valuable asset to our team. Her primary role is leasing and renewals but she also helps with other important administrative tasks around the office and communicating with tenants about inspections and maintenance issues. Makenzie was born and raised in Columbia, MO. She has been a licensed real estate agent since 2021 and works closely with John to help serve the needs of all their real estate clients. Makenzie enjoys spending time with her family and friends. Her hobbies include small DIY projects, especially furniture restoration. She is not afraid to get her hands dirty.

BROOKE CUNNINGHAM
Leasing Specialist
Brooke is in charge of leasing for TMC Property Management which is no small job! Brooke is originally from Kinsman, OH where she grew up on a dairy farm. She has 3 kids and has been happily married to her husband Adam since 1998. Brooke is extremely organized and has a fantastic work ethic. Her hobbies include fitness, card games and baking. We are lucky to have Brooke on the team and she is a very valuable asset!
